The Good Roll en Asda
We are thrilled to announce a momentous collaboration between The Good Roll and Asda in the UK! We have joined forces to extend the reach of our 100% natural toilet and kitchen paper, aiming to make a lasting impact that goes far beyond your toilet. Asda, one of Britain's leading retailers, and The Good Roll, renowned for their commitment to providing safe and clean toilets, have joined forces to bring an eco-friendly solution to households across the UK. Building upon their shared values, Asda and The Good Roll are launching a range of bamboo toilet and kitchen paper in Asda stores.
Starting from July 10th, you can now find our sustainable bamboo toilet and kitchen rolls, available either naked or in our fully recyclable packaging, at 300 Asda stores across the UK. This partnership marks an incredible milestone for us, as we work towards our shared vision of creating a more sustainable and environmentally-friendly future.
Duurzaam Toiletpapier en Veilig Sanitair
We are The Good Roll, makers of sustainable toilet paper, and we believe that clean water and safe sanitation are at the core of a healthy, happy and dignified life. A life that everyone deserves. That is why we make and sell sustainable bamboo toilet paper, and donate 50% of our net profit to the construction and maintenance of toilet facilities in places where a clean and safe toilet is not guaranteed, for example in Ghana. In addition, we care about making a positive impact on a local scale, which is why all our good rolls are wrapped and packed in social workshops in The Netherlands. By using The Good Roll you’re making a positive impact every time nature calls.

Ontdek de voordelen van bamboe toiletpapier
The new product line features bamboo-based toilet and kitchen paper, offering customers a tree-friendly alternative that reduces environmental impact. Toilet paper made from bamboo has many advantages compared to regular toilet paper made from trees or old paper. First, bamboo is a type of grass and can grow up to one meter a day. Bamboo is fully grown after about a year, much faster than a regular tree. The average time it takes for a tree to reach full growth is 40 years. Therefore, less surface is needed to produce bamboo toilet paper compared to regular toilet paper.
Another advantage of bamboo over wood is that bamboo plantations absorb 100 to 400 tonnes of CO2 per hectare. The bamboo plant does not die after it is harvested for toilet paper; the plant grows again. After about a year, the plant is fully grown and can be harvested again.
The Good Roll Foundation
A significant aspect of this collaboration goes beyond the product itself. Asda and The Good Roll are committed to making a meaningful difference in communities in need. Inspired by The Good Roll's existing initiative, 50% off net profit from the sales of these products will be used to construct toilets in Ghana, providing access to safe and clean sanitation facilities for those who currently lack it. These facilities are build and maintained by The Good Roll Foundation.
.
Established in 2018, The Good Roll Foundation has made remarkable strides in its mission to improve lives through enhanced sanitation. To date, the foundation has successfully constructed 233 toilets, positively impacting the lives of 11,650 individuals. With a strong emphasis on schools, the foundation recognizes that children are the cornerstone of our future.
.
By focusing on building toilets in schools, The Good Roll Foundation addresses a critical need. Lack of access to clean sanitation facilities not only contributes to the spread of diseases and illnesses but also creates barriers for girls' education. Without proper facilities, girls may face difficulties attending school, particularly during their menstrual cycles.
.
The efforts of The Good Roll Foundation go beyond providing physical structures. They recognize that improved sanitation is key to fostering healthy communities and empowering individuals. By constructing toilets in schools, the foundation ensures that children have a safe and hygienic environment that enables them to focus on their education and thrive.
